This forearm project was created during the Baltic Tattoo Convention 2023 at Litexpo in Vilnius, Lithuania. The woman portrait with the bird was awarded 1st place in the Best of Friday category.

At almost 2 years healed, the project still reads clearly, with the portraits, graphic structure, and spacing continuing to work together well. The lines have expanded naturally over time, as expected, but without negatively affecting the micro realistic detail or the overall flow of the composition.
After 1 year, the forearm was already reading clearly as one cohesive composition. The softer tones had settled naturally, while the main portraits and graphic structure remained well defined.
Fresh, each section had clear separation and strong hierarchy, while the graphic lines and text elements tied the forearm together as one composition. The overall result felt light and structured rather than dense.
I created them as two seperate tattoo available designs and only connected later on

This case shows how a larger forearm project can feel cohesive without becoming visually heavy. By controlling spacing, hierarchy, and transitions between elements, each section remains readable on its own while still supporting the arm as a whole. This project was also executed with grey opaque tones and white ink, which makes it especially interesting to follow over time and observe how those elements change through the years.

This project was built as a layered forearm composition rather than a set of isolated tattoos. The goal was to create a continuous visual language through portraiture, organic forms, typography, and graphic structure, so that each section could stand on its own while still contributing to the overall flow of the arm.
