Congratulations on your new tattoo! Taking proper care of it during the healing process is crucial for vibrant colors, sharp lines, and a healthy outcome. Follow these steps to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully:

1. Leave the Second Skin Film On (Days 1-3):

  • Your tattoo artist has applied a protective second skin film. Leave it on for the first 3 days to shield the tattoo from dirt and bacteria.
  • The film promotes faster healing and reduces the risk of infection.

2. Gentle Cleaning (Day 4 Onward):

  • On the fourth day, gently remove the second skin film and clean the tattooed area.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattoo.
  • Use a mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water to clean the tattoo. Avoid hot water.

3. Pat Dry (Day 4 Onward):

  • After washing, pat the tattoo dry with a clean, soft cloth or let it air dry. Do not rub the tattoo.

4. Apply a Recommended Ointment or Lotion:

  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment or lotion recommended by your tattoo artist. Use a clean, sanitized hand to avoid introducing bacteria.
  • Repeat this process 2-3 times a day, or as advised by your artist, until the tattoo is fully healed.

5. Avoid Sun Exposure:

  • Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight during the healing process. UV rays can fade colors and hinder the healing process.
  • If your tattoo is exposed to the sun, apply a high SPF sunscreen after it’s fully healed to prevent fading.

6. Avoid Submerging in Water:

  • Avoid soaking your tattoo in water, such as baths, hot tubs, or swimming pools, until it’s fully healed.
  • Quick showers are recommended to minimize water exposure.

7. Wear Loose Clothing:

  • Choose loose, breathable clothing to prevent friction and irritation on the tattooed area.

8. Avoid Scratching or Picking:

  • It’s normal for your tattoo to itch during the healing process, but resist the urge to scratch.
  • Picking at scabs can result in scarring and loss of color. Let the scabs fall off naturally.

9. Stay Hydrated and Maintain a Healthy Diet:

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, promoting the healing process.
  • A well-balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals supports overall skin health.

10. Be Mindful of Allergies:

  • If you notice any unusual redness, swelling, or excessive pain, contact your tattoo artist or a healthcare professional immediately.
  • Inform your artist of any allergies, and cease the use of any product causing irritation.

11. Regular Check-ins:

  • Schedule follow-up appointments with your tattoo artist for them to assess the healing progress.
  • Address any concerns or questions during these appointments.

Remember, each person’s skin heals differently, and individual care instructions may vary. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your tattoo artist for personalized advice. Enjoy your new tattoo!

  • By paying the deposit, you agree to the entire policy above, and deposits are non-refundable. Include your idea, reference pictures, and a photo of the tattoo location in your inquiry for a prompt response.
